Pizzeria Boccalino - 100 types of pizza! and other Lausanne, Switzerland Restaurant Reviews - VirtualTourist.com
- You re only as old as the man that you feel...
- On our second evening in Lausanne the weather took a turn for the worst and the rains came down. Hard. I had some dinner options in mind but due to the weather we didn t want to venture too far from our hotel so we ended up down the hill by the lake and splashed into the friendly looking Pizzeria Boccalino.
- Our waiter was really lovely. When we asked about the horse meat carpaccio he disappeared and returned with a couple of slices for us to sample. He gave the thumbs up to our pizza orders and later advised us which desserts to avoid.
- We ordered three pizzas the S.Schmid the Bismark and the George W. Bush I know I know but the toppings sounded good . I had the Bismark which had parma ham artichokes and an egg on top yum.
- For dessert we had some ice cream and a slice of Lemon Tart. Not the greatest should have paid more attention to our waiter

- Restaurant Le Pirate Restaurant Le Pirate Moules et Frites
- On our first night in Lausanne we wanted to eat dinner somewhere close to our lake front hotel. Problem was this is an expensive part of town. After wistfully looking at menus of places above our budget and dress code we opted for a meal at Restaurant Le Pirate.
- All the tables on the upper deck dining area were taken as were the ones on the street side terrace so we had to sit inside which was a shame as it was a glorious summers evening. Service was incredibly slow was hard to tell if they were short staffed or just slow. Oh well at least they were friendly.

- Moutarlier Tea Room Moutarlier Tea Room cake shop cafe
- Whilst wandering around the old town of Lausanne we were parched and the Moutarlier Tea Room looked like a good place to stop for a drink. Located on Place de la Palud this is a cake shop café and tea room not to mention a great people watching location.
- We grabbed a small table on the square and then popped inside to see what small treats were on offer. The guy behind the counter didn t speak any English but thankfully the words chocolate and caramel are pretty much the same in French so I soon chose which cake I wanted.
- The chocolate and caramel concoction looked and tasted delicious and the coffee was ok too. Food was ordered and paid for inside and drinks were ordered and paid for from the waiter who came to our table outside.
- Near the Hotel de Ville on Place de la Palud
- Done Thank you... BTW we have probably been in Lausanne and Montreux at the same time Happy New Year
- Günstiger in den Urlaub mit ITS. Tiefer können Preise nicht fallen
